Description: THAW program can help DTE customers with financial assistance in paying their heat bills if they have a shut-off notice or are without service. Funding is provided by THAW.

  • Must be a current DTE customer.
  • Must be shut-off or in shut-off status.
  • Client must have made a payment of at least $250 within last six months.
  • Must be at or below 250% federal poverty guidelines.
  • Cannot live in subsidized housing unless you pay more than 30% of household income for utilities and rent.
